Mission

When the red, red robin comes bob, bob, bobbing along the shed

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

A rainy Saturday, post-parkrun, needed a bit of cheering up and we had the perfect opportunity at our mission to save a shed from creeping ivy and a huge red robin tree.

With loppers and a pruning saw we set about careful pruning and successfully filled five bin bags with the discarded greenery, wondering if we should go into the Christmas wreath-making business.

We also managed to make it look like we hadn’t taken any of the lovely privacy screen away. So it doesn’t look as dramatic as it could... Especially as a lot of the ivy was growing IN the shed!

Rewarded with coffee and iced mince pies (who even knew they were a thing?), a job well done.
