Sam and I met up in Cosham in a cold wind but sunshine which was good news for a gardening mission.

We met Laura from Age UK who let us in to the house and said hello to Mrs J who commented "ooh two ladies!". After a quick chat we headed out into the garden with Laura and found the lawnmower... So far, so good. We then had to find an extension lead... Top marks to Sam for spotting one in the garage!

We then tried two different power points but unfortunately couldn't get the lawnmower to work.

As there were some other bits of the garden that needed tidying we did some weeding, bramble wrestling and general rubbish clearance. Her grass is now clear of bits that might break a lawnmower and the path down the garden is free of weeds.

Although we didn't get the original task done, we did make a bit of a difference to her garden and hopefully managed to persuade Laura to come along to GoodGym in the process too!!

Thanks to Sam for her photo skills!
