5 Bank Holiday Goodgym folks joined us at Highbury Quadrant Estate (along with Frannie and the regular weekend regeneration team) to help with fixing up this lovely green neighbourhood project. A couple of our crew were able to run over after Highbury Fields parkrun too, which is always a great way to start a Saturday!

By the time Area Activator Simon arrived, Steve was already busy clearing a green material pile, and relocating branches, cuttings and small bushes to a new location via wheel barrow. Vicki and John were tasked with clipping away at some overgrown pathways around a green space called the Orchard, ready for visitors in the next few weeks. Mali was asked to separate some new green chippings into specific recycling points (clearing vines and brambles away from compostable leaves and branches).

Octopus Community Network were thrilled with the progress we had made in the space of just over an hour. We celebrated back at the tool shed with some Peanut Butter Blondie slices, purchased from the Clissold Park café.
