For tonight's task, our glorious leader Nicky was on a well deserved holiday, so it was up to Marvellous Mitch to lead the team.

We were tasked with moving a pile of heavy rocks and moving them from the cafe to a wildlife area. These will form the border to a new pond (dubbed the snake den, or herbatology zone according to Stef). Within no time, a human chain was set up and efficiently moving the heavy boulders. A few people were responsible for wheelbarrowing, and within no time the van was filled to move to the pond.

I think that's cheating - Leanne

There was also a small subset responsible for weeding and clearing up around the cafe. This should be a simple task, but apparently the group managed to remove a grate and 2 paving slabs.

If the cafe collapses tomorrow and kills dozens of people, blame Laura - Dom

Throughout the task, the menacing rumble of thunder could be heard. After the hard graft was completed, the heavens finally opened and released a heavy torrent of rain. After this drought, it was refreshing! However, to the disappointment (I assume) of everyone, we decided to skip the group exercise as working out in an open field surrounded by trees wasn't the best idea!

Nicky will be happy to hear we all arrived back in one piece (except Paul Kelly and Lucy who required plasters and wipes each).
