A few changes from last week as we are still in the back room but using square tables again instead of rectangular longer ones. We now have the door code but Lisa from Age UK had kindly arrived early as she wasnt aware that we could now get in on our own. ironically her pass card didnt wotk so we used our code after all! the task got swiftly done and we repaired to Ruby's for coffee (Babs and John) or tea (Leanne) and a bacon butty ( only John! )

3 glorious GoodGymers set up the tables & chairs ready for the elderly folk to use during their weekly day out. A small task with a big benefit for the Age UK organisers. NB - from next week & over the holidays the task will be a little later at 9am.

Kirsty joined myself and John this morning. John had arrived early again and done most of the work by setting out the tables. We put the chairs out and were soon done - plenty of time for a café visit afterwards!

We 3 arrived at 08:30 to find the front door locked but the side door open . we set to and got everything set up before the Age UK staff arrived! Hunt the table is a popular part of the setting up process as they could have been left in any of the many different rooms. All done and dusted in time for coffee and a bacon butty at Ruby's which opens at 9!

John was the early bird this morning, arriving a good 15 minutes before Vicky (who was looking very glam in her work dress) and myself arrived. This meant that most of the tables had already been put out so all that was left to do was to move the last table into position and put out the chairs. We had a chat with the task owner and agreed to list the following weeks' tasks a bit earlier (8.30am) which may enable others to join pre-work. A nice, quick and easy task!
