Purrfect timing! Tracey pulled up in her car just as Jimmy was chaining up his bike. It was great to work together again.

We were very pleased to be able to help Ms D, and to meet some of her feline friends. She’s having a hospital bed delivered later today, so we whisked (or should that be Whiskas-d?) the old bed away into the spare room to make space for the new one. Thanks to the Missions team for organising this – glad it finally came together for us - and a big thumbs-up to Jimmy for cycling in the cold (my excuse for not cycling is that Derby is a long way from Leicester, so I’d have to have set off yesterday to make it on time!).

it was a big Happy Birthday to watermead junior parkrun and we had goodgymers help volunteering and celebrating in Mel and Dave and Stu and Lorna and Lynne and at Melton we had Nick well done to the Super 6.

The parkrun community were in for a treat today as we had Martin at Abbeypark, Jimmy at Braunstone and Dave and Jeanette at watermead well done all on making the world a better place.

Three Goodgymmers went on the last visit of the year to Great Central Railways Leicester North Station with the garden maintenance team. New member Alison was between the rails in the station clearing out the flower beds for winter while Jeanette and Nick litter picked the approach road and car park, which looks to be a good party spot out of hours. Two bags of glass bottles to the bottlebank and a bag of cans for rhe air ambulance. The GCR team have appreciated our help, and we have enjoyed our visits, so we'll be back again in the spring
