Our target was to save 100km of car journeys for our No Car Day... and we absolutely smashed it! With a few results waiting to come in, we're already at 150km!
Our top 3 kilometre savers were Dave (17.5km), Katie (16km) and Jane (14km) - well done to them and everyone else for going the extra (literal) mile.
And hopefully we'll also be adding plenty of kilometres to our January Challenge distance target too - double winning!

On a much brighter but wetter morning than we had experienced at parkrun yesterday, 4 GGers gathered to help support the annual Victory 5 mile race at Lakeside.
Aoife and Lorna were stationed inside in the warm and dry (not bitter at all!). And tasked with handing out the race numbers as the runners arrived. With plenty of safety pins on hand for all those who had forgot!
Richard and I, after fuelling with a free coffee!, headed out to our marshal point to set up camp ready for the race to begin. Fortunately, the rain mostly stayed away until the final couple of runners headed past.

It was a little gloomier and breezier than anticipated at JPR this morning, but that didn't dampen the GG Spirit! From Run Directing to Marshalling, Barcode Scanning to Tail Walking, we filled over half the roster. Well done, squad!

The early start may have put some off, but myself, Dave and Lorna were up and raring to go this morning.
Our first job was to empty all of the resources for the day out of the Victory Business Centre and deliver them to Fratton Road. We put up a couple of gazebos, delivered tables and chairs to stalls, hung bunting and put up signs.
