Danny is part of a crowd that's making a huge noise. Danny has been cheered by 25 people - that's a round of applause just on their own. We hope they keep it up.

GoodGym x COBS x parkrun

Birmingham Report written by Liam

Today we had a mammoth volunteering turnout of 11 GoodGymers at Edgbaston Reservoir, with a joint GoodGym and City of Birmingham Striders (COBS) takeover following a few collaboration runs over the last few months.

We had Balal on timekeeping duties, Tom and Eve handing out finish tokens, Raull completing his normal tailwalking role and Rob, Richard, Ryan, Danny and Nadia doing a brilliant job of marshalling under tricky conditions!

Great work all, today's event wouldn't have gone ahead without you!

Striding out with COBS!

Birmingham Report written by Jonny Carter

Tonight we met up with the lovely City of Birmingham Striders. You'll see from the picture that it was even light when we set off tonight!

We ran just over 7k in total on the last of the winter routes, with the clocks changing next week.

Myself, Danny and Tom ran together and even put in a few fast strides in the last couple of k's.

Once back we were put through a good stretching routine, then it was off to the pub for most of the group, for some well earned refreshment :)

G-run-ning from ear to ear

Birmingham Report written by John Hayes

Eight goodgymers helped to make parkrun happen at five events across the city this morning. I set up at Perry Hall with Raull before he doubled up with a bit of tail walking. Steven was doing a range of roles at Woodgate Valley. Jonny was the funnel manager at Sutton Park. Liam gave the first timer's briefing at Edgbaston Reservoir before marshalling, while Danny and Richard ran the 5k and scanned barcodes at the finish line. Miriam did a last minute bit of marshalling at Cannon Hill before going on to the other Community Mission of the day over in Stirchley.

What a load of Cobb-lers!

Birmingham Report written by Jonny Carter

Tonight, as our task was cancelled we joined our friends from City of Birmingham Striders, or COBS for short!

We went on a good 7.5k-8k run with the group, taking in a lot of the city centre.

Once we returned Lisa took us through a stretching session before we all got rehydrated in the pub were Balal took the obligatory group photo :)
