Today I assisted the Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre foodbank regular volunteers with two afternoon deliveries from Tesco. I also donated my mountain bike with bike accessories, and several bottles of wines to help them raise much needed funds at their community christmas party on Friday 12th December 2025.

Spent a few hours on logistics and preparation for the festive season delivery schedule. Tasks mainly involved sorting, packing, and staging items for distribution. All necessary items are prepared and organised for tomorrow’s scheduled deliveries. Members' attendance ensured all targets for the day were met efficiently.

Today I joined a team of volunteers unload, unpack and replenish stocks at Borough food pantry. It was an enjoyable 2 hour session from 10.30am to 12.30pm

Vauxhall Gardens foodbank is open on Fridays from 12pm to 2pm ,which includes the pre setting up and the post clearing up, as well as serving 80 plus customers during the 2 hour serving time.

It was an incredibly heart warming day at the centre, where our team had the privilege of helping many members of our community access essential resources. Seeing the genuine smiles and ensuring every individual and family could leave with food for their homes made all the hard work feel meaningful.

Today two Goodgymers put in an extra shift in preparation for the foodbank on Friday.
