On a classic autumnal day, Aimee and I met to visit Ms C to help in the garden. Pounding the streets of Cardiff, we arrived at Ms C's house. I'd been there a little while ago to help plant some spring bulbs and Ms C recognised me. Disappointingly, Ms C mentioned that only four of the hundred or so bulbs that we'd planted had grown and flowered. We concluded that this was snow related! Ms C showed us to the garden and pointed out the four daffodils that had emerged from our previous planting session. At this point, we heard a noise and noticed the friendly goats in Ms C's neighbour's garden - apparently they eat the brambles and are called Fred and Ginger!

Anyway...on with the task. Ms C had wanted us to cut the grass but given the recent weather and the wet ground (or perhaps my dodgy gardening skills), she didn't think it was right to do it today. Ms C was, however, in the midst of giving her house a bit of a refresh and she asked if we'd mind helping her strip the walls of wallpaper. Of course not!

With the help of Ms C's friend (Mr R), Aimee and I made a start on the hallway. Amed with some top notch scrapers, we got stuck in! Layer upon layer of paper was pulled from the walls, revealing some very interesting choices through the decades! Very soon, the hallway was covered with a tide of paper. Between the three of us, we'd removed all of the paper! We helped Ms C to tidy up and bag up the rubbish, leaving her in the very capable hands of Mr R who has the slightly trickier task of re-papering the hallway!

Nice work being so flexible guys! I imagine it must've been nice to do an indoors (dry) task! :)
