We know Christmas has well and truly arrived in Hounslow when we get our regular December task supporting That's A Wrap charity. This amazing organisation aims to get a Christmas gift to the 37% of children living in poverty in the borough who otherwise would be excluded.

Our job? To get the word out to as many people as humanly possible so that That's A Wrap receives all the donations it needs. So, as usual, we met at the Town hall ready for our delivery of leaflets. Soon after, Dahir turned up with a huge pile of 500 of them. The number felt daunting, and we tried to do some leaflet-based maths to decided how many we could manage, before taking the plunge and grabbing the whole lot.

And good job we did too! before long we were flying down the streets of Chiswick, admiring the pretty Christmas lights and plotting the route to get the news of the drive out far and wide. As we know, Chiswick is home to many a celebrity, from presenters, to athletes, actors and more. We were even lucky enough to spot one as we did the rounds. I won't put who it was here, because that would be Pointless and I don't want to fall victim to some kind of Wednesday night murder club.

Within half an hour we had run into just one Christmas Grinch, we had spread a bit of (hopefully) festive magic, and we had covered almost as many miles as santa. All that was left to do was work up an appetite for some Christmas puds, so we found ourselves a nice low wall and knocked out a session that worked three major muscle groups.

Next week I'm just waiting for confirmation for our final task of the year, but there will definitely be a session. Then we have our end of year party, which promises to be a lot of fun!

We also have an upcoming community mission which looks like a great way to spend a morning. Not only will you be helping restore a hidden gem in Gunnersbury but you'll be rewarded with mulled wine and mince pies!
