More record breaking participation, reaching previously unparalleled productivity and some lovely fresh characters joining the ranks. Goodgym Newham, what's not to like?

The nights are now drawing in, the air is become that touch fresher. Whilst some are at home, wrapped up in a onesie, eating weetos out the box and watching re runs of Love Island (sorry fans - Phoebe & Tori) you guys are out and amongst it. It's an empowering thing this running, gives you warmth, mobility, freedom from the mundane. We had 24 yesterday, a 20% increase on last week's numbers, that's class guys. Unsurprisingly we got through an unprecedented amount of work.

As we gathered in post-warm up we had a quick chat about the upcoming Monthly Goodgym Social, on the 9th Of November. Save the date and pop it into the diary now guys. Members from all over London and beyond will be attending this, let's show a good healthy presence and clink a drink to like-minded sorts. Promises to be a good night, being a Thursday and all it means we won't be all sweaty and lycra-clad....unless your into that - then rock on.

One quick mile later and we arrived at our destination. Helping our regular task, Mobile Garden City, with some heavy duty work. Circa 50 large bags of compost were moved across the sprawling gardens - no easy feat. Then onto clearing and removing vegetation from about 30 or so planters. Needless to say that without our swelling numbers we wouldn't have got through all of this. These gardens have children's courses and adult growing courses for free. They also regularly hand out harvests to the locals. Pretty marvelous community gem amongst the high rise blocks, nice to be a part of it I reckon.

Once we left the gardens, we got an obligatory picture, because if it ain't on social media it didn't happen, #Obvs. We then jogged a few minutes to get stuck into a little running interval session. The type of session that you may be reluctant to do solo, but is more than possible with a big team galloping along side of you. Some well paced efforts here and good bit of competition. Extra kudos going to those newbies, it only gets easier. Top work Ryan, Noma and Isata (your friend didn't sign in)

Right i'm off to eat some breakfast and grab a cup of tea with a large wedge of lemon in there. I'm either losing my voice from trying to speak to 24 people simultaneously or I am getting ill. If the latter, it'll be a fantastic excuse to never share my pub snacks again, Joey approves - love you all really.

Next week's task is a corker, of course - sign up

Ps. Parkrun at Wanstead is on this week - have a goody and get all that energy out.

See you beauts next week
