A dozen of Goodgymmers picked up their lunchboxes and skipped their way back to school for an evening of hardcore alottamint-ing.

Primary Objective

Knowing that we were back at school for the evening, our Goodgymmers were on their best behaviour as we were welcomed by the Noel Park Primary School Vice Principal who kindly turned a blind eye towards some rather naughty behaviour as he led us to the school's allotment.

Armed with trowels and bonhomie, we attacked the overgrown space with gusto.

Potatoes, mint, and many other little saplings were being drowned by a forest of overgrown grasses as the allotment had spent a few terms unloved in the corner of the school.

In no time, the heroes of our piece had started to clear the allotment, bed by bed.

Lulls in activity were filled by Nurjehan - the resident modelling agent for the evening, who kept encouraging us to join her for one of her world-renowned GG photoshoots.

If you fancy joining her, make sure to read the small print in whatever contract she puts in front of you. Aaaaaanyway...

Slowly

But surely, the allotment began to take shape again.

A special mention here for GGHaringey stalwart Dave who lovingly curated a corner of one of the beds, transforming it into a spud paradise.

Confident that they had done a good job, our Goodgymmers called it an evening and retired to a school bench to dig into their lunchboxes.

Keeping with GGHaringey tradition, we couldn't leave before Julie got into the newly-created compost heap and did some jumping, or Kapil did a set of burpees, or before Nurjehan reminded us yet again that there is a forthcoming photoshoot and she'd like some company.

But, seriously, read the small print.

Afterwards we all rode into the sunshine of a very pleasant evening, hearts full of joy,

Bellies full of Indian sweet goodies, and satisfied smiles on our faces.

You should definitely join us next time!
