Report written by Brahma Pochee
Finally BST is upon us, even though you guys acted nonchalantly, I know deep down you share my passion for daylight extending into the evening, no more SAD nights (get it?).....moving on.
Tim's 100th session and final task before he powers his frame south, fuelled by only a human aerobic system and a sense of adventure. I feel a bit inspired and a tad jealous - don't know about you? Very much the man of the moment yesterday - look forward to the picture updates, plus the parkrun organising and replica sessions from exotic shores. Live the dream
Weekly Random Question this week was "Whose voice would you like to have, if you could have any?" Some sonorous english accents, dulcet transatlantic ones, salacious european chords and even a squawky Joe Pasquale for good piss taking measure.
In full light we jogged over to the playground, then proceeded to move about forty or so 4 -5 metre planks roughly thirty metres away. One of those jobs that simply isn't possible without good folk like yourself. Ange is going to use this recycled wood to construct another slide, weeeeeeeee were instrumental in making it happen.
As we finished in good time and as always everyone was desperate to do some running intervals, I finally capitulated. You guys win, this time. 6 - 8 x 20 second controlled sprints with a 20 second recovery. Do these weekly and that top end speed will filter into your longer efforts ie. you'll run long, faster. I'll be doing a variant of this sesh on the weekend.
Thanks for another cracking sesh, i'll see you guys in a couple weeks as off racing next week, a super sub will replace me, no doubt. Be good to come along and see how much better she is, then give me some pointers, i'm all about the feedback read as - please say nice things to me, I will literally have a breakdown if you don't . Seriously though - get involved!
Sign up to the next session here
Have a corking weekend, check out local missions, get a longer run under your belt, consider an interval...and easy-ish on those easter eggs!
PS. Safe travels Tim!
