Volunteering at the Donor Run 2024

GoodGym Nottingham are helping at the 2024 Donor Run in Wollaton Park.

This event is part of the British Transplant Games, which are this year being hosted in Nottingham. The Donor Run is the big finale – where 1,500 organ recipients, donor families, and members of the public will run between 1k and 5k around Wollaton Park. The event is family-friendly and accessible.

Volunteers will need to arrive at 5pm, when they will receive a full briefing from the organiser, MLS. The event itself starts at 6.30pm and is expected to finish around 8.30pm.

Volunteers are mainly needed for stewarding points around the race route, but other roles may also be available such as giving out water and medals, manning the charity’s stand or wearing the Robin mascot costume!

If you plan to volunteer, the sign-up process for this task has two parts. Please complete both steps 1 and 2 below by 6th July 2024.

1) Sign up on this GoodGym page so that we know you are participating

2) Sign up with the event organisers on this form to be officially registered as a volunteer. For some of the questions on the form, you should respond as stated below: Role you are applying for: Donor Run volunteer; Availability: 3rd August evening; Why would you like to volunteer for Nottingham Hospitals Charity and what skills and experience can you bring to the role?
