The Twickenham Festival always starts with the great spectacle of the Tug of War in Church Street. This year on the 8th of June. The street fills with many hundreds of spectators who come to watch the local teams competing for their winning firkin of beer donated by the Eel Pie Pub. Award winning Sound Engineers Britannia Row provide the music and sound system. The event is compered by Stuart Green from The Cabbage Patch.

After (or during) the event, we can celebrate the year of good and running so far with a few drinks!

We need 8 for the Tug of War and 2 substitutes, but do come along in case someone can't take part or you just want to support. Wear your GoodGym shirt!

Dont worry though, if you still want to have a go at pulling the rope please do still come down and we will try and rotate as much as we can.

If you are taking part in the Tug of War please come down to Church Street by 6.15pm as we need to sign our lives away on a disclaimer before taking part. Lets meet outside the Eel Pie Pub.

If you do not want to take part please do still come along and cheer as its gonna be a great GG social.
