SWOC Street Score Event 6

GoodGym After Dark - down the Bay!!!

It's GoodGym After Dark with this fun and fast (ish) orienteering race at night! In a score event, a large number of controls will be shown on the map. The idea is to visit as many as possible within a time limit. The "score" is given by the number of controls visited. But watch out - come back over the time limit and you'll lose points!

This is meant to be an individual run, but it's definitely more fun in pairs!

Important: as it's dark in the evenings, a head torch/torch and high viz clothing are absolutely necessary for safety. You'll also need a pen and/or a phone, on which you can download the MapRun app to register scores, plus money for the registration fee.

Cost is £3.00 per person payable on the day. U16s (£1.00) are very welcome to take part but must be accompanied by an adult.

You register for the event on the evening, but please register your interest here on the GoodGym site, so we can share rides, info etc.

Location this time is Cardiff Bay!. More information is here

Registration starts at 18:30 for a 19:00 start time, with 60 minutes to get as many points as possible and get back to 'base'.

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New runners are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

There's a place to leave bags and a toilet at the start point, all you need to do is bring your trainers. It's free to try - get involved!
