The original plan to create a new pathway through a copse of trees wasn't possible with the three of us who had signed up for this session, however there is always something a goodgymer is able to get on with to make an impact! The pathway was agreed for another day and we collected up our trusted litter pickers and set about helping to clean up the park, focusing on the children's play area and the gorgeous nature trail.

Springfield park is attached to Alder Hey Children's Hospital, and with the hospitals stunning green roofs and the parks trees and trails, it's a beautiful place to spend a couple of hours in. The Friends of Springfiled park where also helping Send Crisis Liverpool to give out free pre-loved school uniforms to local families and the park was full of life.

The nature trail through the trees had lots of discoveries, like carved benches for some quiet time, and sculptures showing anything from HiiT and Yoga routines, to varieties of birds and leaves, a real treasure to explore.

A lovely gentle lunchtime fitness with one of us doing doing 5 miles in total including the walk there and back, on a beautiful sunny day!
