Who this task will support
Cranbrook Community Food Garden
This award-winning garden was designed and built from a desolate children’s playground nearly 10 years ago. The garden is maintained by residents of the estate and surrounding area, and aims to bring the whole community together to create social cohesion to this corner of Bethnal Green.

We will be joining Janet and the team today get ready for the International Women's Day event at the Centre.

What's the background?

For a long time, Janet has hosted an International Women's Day event at the Centre, to encourage local residents to celebrate the Community Centre.

Whether participants choose to take part in henna activities; meditation and Pilates, receive a free massage, or sit and chat to friends with some home cooked food, this is community at its finest.

What you need to know

  • Janet will be leading this task. Janet and her team are pros, leading like no other, whether handing you cleaning cloths, brooms, chairs to arrange, and plates to set out.

  • This task is open to all GoodGymers, not just women! All GoodGymers are welcome to attend the Community Mission and stay for the activities.

  • We have allowed 90 minutes for this task, but if you would like to stay on, or leave early, that's no problem (we just ask you arrive on time).

  • I will be leading this CM, but not at the Centre until later. I will be available throughout ,should you or Janet need to contact me. Laura
