5 GoodGym volunteers attended this week’s Covid vaccination clinic at the Steam Museum where the daily total of vaccinations given is 1600 – 1700 and it’s all done extremely efficiently and mostly by volunteers, yes even the vaccinators are volunteers. Jason and Stuart reported a fairly quiet day on Wednesday and Gaby was on car parking duties on Saturday when we had all four seasons of weather during every hour but Friday saw a very different scene with a number of patients passing out before or after being vaccinated and one wheeled out on a trolley to an awaiting ambulance. Gina and Helen received 2nd vaccinations with no dramas but Helen did get ‘told off’ for taking too long on her allotted 15 minute break!! Her mitigation was that she was being interviewed by Swindon Borough Council about volunteering, well done Helen! The cards and notes on display in the staffing area shows the gratitude of the people of Swindon and the surrounding areas for what we are all doing.
