“Allot(ment)” more work to be done!
GoodGym were happy to return to Margaret Matthew’s Court once more, to help spruce up the gardens which were set on a little river and next to woodland.
Jason, Becky, Stuart and Helen were joined by some of the residents who came out to help and chat...Ms S told us how happy she was to go the dentist (delayed due to Covid) and get her new teeth at last! Ms P also helped us as we dug the lovely new raised allotment bed and planted lettuce, herbs, radish and even garlic. Jason and Becky sorted out the garden near the social area and Stuart planted up the pots by reception.
Mr J also came outside and pointed out the roses for pruning and showed us round his garden and compost area. Lots more work to be done, so sure we’ll be back to help out soon.

Gardening at Margaret Matthews Court!

It's been 18 months since our last visit, so we are super excited to be heading back to Margaret Matthews Court in Rodbourne, to help with a gardening task. This is our third visit to Margaret Matthews Court; the first time we visited we managed to plant some flowers in the shape of the GoodGym logo! Let's see what we can do this time around?!
We have been invited back as a small group of six to make the garden area a little tidier (and perhaps a little chat with the residents from a safe distance).
Please bring gloves, hand sanitiser, antibacterial wipes and a face covering to this task. To ensure that residents remain safe, please note that the maximum number of volunteers allowed at this task is six (maximum) and therefore please DO NOT turn up if you have not signed up beforehand.
