Parkfield Community Garden
Parkfields offers a space for people to meet, learn to grow food, create habitats for wildlife, observe nature and play. As well as an orchard the site has a polytunnel, raised beds, skill share and natural play space. Volunteers worked to reclaim a bramble and bindweed covered site to create a space for learning and play for the local community. We are aiming to offer sessions for childminders, afterschool childrens groups and weekend courses as well as yoga, art, gardening and permaculture classes

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.

We are supporting Parkfields Community Garden with a regular visit first Saturday morning of every month at 10am. Parkfields are continuing their hard work to create an area for local access. Their objectives are to observe nature, share skills, grow food and play outdoors - and they are making great strides in making this happen but they need our help.

They will update us soon with a list of jobs that need doing so keep an eye on the listing for more info.

Meet at the allotment gates in the car park outside Barnfield Riding stables.

Task owner contact is Alan and his number is +44(0) 7770448331.

Unfortunately the volunteer task at Parkfields Community Garden on Saturday 4 June has been cancelled as all their volunteers are busy celebrating and enjoying the bank holiday weekend elsewhere. Apologises for any inconvenience!
