24 runners met to go up, up and away in their beautiful platoon to help spread the word about Golden Hill Community Garden's Spring Fair.

This run was not for the faint-hearted and our striders in red showed their mettle and conquered the 2.5 mile climb to the garden where we met one of the Lucys involved in the project. The garden is open to all and gives everyone the opportunity to get their hands dirty and learn about nature. Their spring fair is a chance for them to really show off what they've got and raise some money to enable them to keep up the good work.

My group of pacey possums reached Lucy first and were sent out to in groups to deliver flyers and put up posters. Jade, who was returning for her second run with us, teamed up with Ian as the poster runners of the group showing they could really cut their stuff and shake that string.

Soon after the second group arrived fresh from sumitting the cobbled hill like a speedy version of the Hovis advert. Imagine that the little lad was being chased by an angry otter after he had hit him while riding his bike recklessly day-dreaming about bread and dripping, and this had caused the otter to drop a beautiful fish casserole he had made for his mum with it being mothering otters day and all. Yeah, something like that...

The second group took on Longmead Avenue in three teams, the uppers, down lefters and the down right legends. As the run to the task was a long one we did not have much time but the guys went straight to it and fair play to them they sprung into action instantly and leaf-let allotment of people know what was going on.

We all met back for a group photo and then enjoyed the down hill cruise back to Queen Square. The Pacey Possums performed some strong plank work and then began some marching drills before being joined by the Legendary Leisure Patrol.

After the drills we stretched and all the wonderful things that were coming up. We also need to say a massive

CONGRATULATIONS TO CENTURION LISA!!!!
