GoodGym love a PLAY on words!

We had a Spring in our step at last night's weekly group run. We met at Life Leisure Cheadle with the sun shining and a reminder that the lighter nights are finally coming!

Our task for the evening was to help Heald Green Community Theatre to deliver a bulk of their flyers, to promote their up and coming community performance.

Heald Green Theatre is an amateur not for profit theatre so not for profit and registered charity. They run heavily subsidised Drama classes for children aged 7 to 18 so that they’re affordable for all. They keep going simply by putting on plays and then ploughing the ticket revenue back into paying the energy bills, insurances etc so its a hard slog every year for them!

They currently have a play 'Bothered and bewildered' and required help to make a dent in the delivery of 3000 leaflets around the Gatley area.

So off we set, 5 GoodGymers with a spring in our step and flyers in hand. We covered an impressive 7.5km distributing the leaflets to the local area, had a good old catch up and embraced the lighter nights!
