We arrived and unloaded the foodbank crates from the car, carrying them inside and setting them out neatly on the tables, organising everything by category to make distribution easier. Once emptied, the crates were loaded back into the foodbank car. We also helped set up the hall by arranging the chairs and tables so the space was tidy and ready to welcome people. It was a smooth and productive session, and we were happy to play our part in getting everything prepared for the community.

Today, two of us from GoodGym took on the task of preparing the church hall to make it ready for the community. We arranged the chairs and set out the tables, transforming the space into a well-organised and welcoming area. We also helped organise the food supplies and made sure everything was set out neatly and easy to access. To finish, we tidied and cleaned the hall, leaving it fully prepared and ready for use. It was a small team, but a productive session, and it was great to see the hall come together and ready to support the people who will be using it.

Today, two of us from GoodGym helped with sorting and organising donated food and household items at a community space. We worked through boxes and crates, grouping items so they’re ready for easy distribution to people who need them. It was a productive session, and by the end everything was much more organised and accessible. A small team effort that will make a big difference for the community!

Already being inside St Simon's church, having helped set up the foodbank, gave me the big advantage of being at the front of the queue to collect a food parcel for Ms N, who is housebound at the moment.
Although I was aware of Ms N's allergies, I didn't know what items she would prefer - so it was great that one of the very kind volunteers sat with me while I called her to run through what was available.
Her food supplies were just about within the weight and balance limits for my bike so I was able to complete the delivery to a delighted Ms N safely and efficiently.

Great to welcome Victoria to her first GoodGym mission today!
It was a busy and productive hour of setting up tables and chairs, moving and unloading deliveries, sorting items and finally listing them on the whiteboard ready for the pickers to serve the recipients already queuing outside.
The two GoodGymers definitely made a difference and helped make sure everything was ready on time.

Today’s mission was all about teamwork and making a practical difference. We helped sort, organise and pack a wide range of food and essential items, carefully checking dates and grouping products into labelled crates ready for distribution. The space was quickly transformed into an efficient packing hub, with everyone pitching in to keep things moving smoothly. It was a busy but rewarding session, and by the end we had prepared a large number of boxes to support local people who need a little extra help. Great teamwork, good energy, and a real sense of achievement knowing these supplies will make a positive difference in the community.
