Our nifty 19 runners enjoyed blue skies and a sticky (almost) 6km run to help out Kensington Community Learning Centre.

On a scorcher of a day, the team made excellent time, even with a slight hill to tackle, on our way to Kensington. We'd visited KCLC twice during the winter but have never seen this fantastic adult learning centre in day light. Making the most of the nice weather, Centre Manager Suzanne put most of the team to work on outdoors tasks. On the busy main road, the centre's shutters were rather dirty and needed some suds and scrubs from our team. While the two alcoves needed a fresh lick of paint.

Back inside the centre Christine and Jake tackled some flaky paint with scrapper, whilst also tackling a light sensor which kept leaving them in the dark! Tim and Chris played engineers/flat pack specialist for the evening by fixing some old chairs.

Shout out to Claire who hit her 10th Good Deed tonight and to Effie freshly back from holiday, who hit 20 Good Deeds. Whoop whoop!

While we do promise that GoodGym is about getting fit while doing good, sometimes the tasks show their appreciation in the form of food. And KCLC has quickly become notorious amongst my team for thanking runners with sausage rolls (and this time, doughnuts too!). So with baked goods still in hand, we began the run home. Somehow the munchies did the trick and we made it back to base at a great pace.

Fantastic work one and all!

Next week we're back at the Greenhouse Project which is a gentle from base. So sign-up and bring your friends too!
