19 amazing runners have been smashing out some solo runs over the last week, sharing photos and run stories with each other and keeping the GG community going strong!

Our challenges this week was to try out negative splits, do 5 hill repetitions, take photos of chalk messages and beautiful nature photos from our run routes. All four challenges were tackled and as usual I totally loved seeing the photos sent in and to hear how everyone got along!

We had quite a few runners form other GG areas joining us this week which was lovely. Tracey from GG Derby sent in a very pretty photo of pink, blue and purple bluebells and also did a brilliant negative split! Fantastic work! Wayne from GG Woking worked hard on his hill reps and also got some great shots of some beautiful woodland. Jo from Liverpool took our hill sprint challenge one step further and completed it twice in one session. Outstanding effort! She also sent in a lovely swan picture from her run.

Our local Exeter runners were equally very busy this week, filling our WhatsApp group with brilliant nature photos. Sunsets, sheep, lambs, cows and a surprisingly large amount of bulls (!) have been caught on camera during all the solo runs.

In terms of chalk messages we had some lovely messages to the NHS, rainbows, elephants and animals. Helen also spotted a van decorated all around in rainbows! Very nice!

The prize for the best chalk picture (voted by my kids) goes to Jo for her mermaid and unicorn picture! YAY! PM me your address so I can pop the prize in the post!

Finally we even had bit of running poetry this week! Thank you Lucy R for this:

Because of YOLO, Don't want FOMO, I ran 10 k SOLO, Now I deserve a ROLO!

It also helped me out with the pun this week! You can only imagine how grateful I am for that!

A great BIG CHEER to all of you for taking part! Next up we have a Cha Cha Core session. This will be a bit of a tough one, you may want to practice it a few times, but I know you all got it in you so don't forget to sign up! Yay!
