On a, thankfully, dry day six goodgymers helped out at the Oxford City Farm. We were tasked removing brambles (standard 💪) which had grown over part of the old veg plot, and digging out roots of nettles and bindweed from the potato and bean patch so it could be covered for winter.

With the added incentive of chocolate brownies for the longest weed root dug up, Lucy, Sophie and Katie got stuck in to a treasure trove of weeds, the deeper you go the more you find! Thomas and Owen tackled the brambles - Thomas being very keen to put the sythe to good use! And Owen could not be dragged away at the end of the task, excellent dedication to bramble eradication! (or perhaps the cache of potatoes..)

After prepping the site, we tucked it in for winter with a big sheet, and then had a well earned and well received cup of tea with the sheep. The farm manager said they were considering getting some mini goats for the farm so watch this space for future tasks!

(bonus points for identifying what Katie is pointing at!)
