On this cold evening a merry gang of 20 goodgymmers from Newham, Hackney and Tower Hamlets were greeted by Richard our task owner. It's always nice to see our neighbouring Goodgymers and this is such a worthwhile task.

We split into 3 groups. In the hub the larger group set to work to lay new carpet tiles and refresh the old ones in festive colours. By the end of the night the space was transformed and ready to be furnished.

In the pastoral care suite Sharon, Kevin and team were tasked with laying a carpet. Stanley knives were defeated, but they were not and left job done.

Meanwhile in the kitchen the cleaning team did a great job leaving a grungy space clean and fresh and ready for appliances to be installed next week.

It's great to see this space really starting to take shape now, but there is still lots more work to do.

A special welcome to Stephen from Tower Hamlets who joined us for his first mission, he will actually be using the building as a CRISIS volunteer. A special mention too to JC who crossed the river from Greenwich.

There are more CRISIS missions over the next few weeks, to make sure the space will be transformed into a working hub. This is a popular one, so sign up while you can.

Great report, Tracey - well done. It's already starting to look very different!
