We were asked by the York Carers Centre to help with delivery of support workbooks to some of the unpaid carers in York.

Books parcels were promptly delivered by Michael, Leanne, Paula, Kay and Jenna to 11 addresses over the weekend.

Those books will be used during online support group sessions for carers affected by a loved one addiction to drugs or alcohol. They will aid carers with focused learning sessions to learn to manage their lives better.

Support group sessions will hopefully help carers to cope better with any crisis situations in their caring role.

Our vision is to ensure that unpaid carers throughout York are valued, recognized and supported with equal access to a good quality of life that is not prejudiced by their caring role.

Our mission is to challenge the inequalities that carers face and ensure, through partnership working, that carers of all ages and backgrounds have their voice heard and have access to quality support and services reflecting their identified needs and interests.
