Well, it was litterpicking again.
sunny evening, a nice chat and stroll through town with our bags, collecting more junk. Choice items were a tunnel ceiling sticker and lucky 8 ball, with chat ranging from an echoey rendition of 'in the jungle', the new parkrun route and what animals are in Bluey. Meanwhile Rowan found time for us despite moving house and a hundred other things, bonus points to you!
Seems like we are really making some progress by regularly cleaning one part of town, the effect of persistent small efforts. Join us all for some new tasks soon!

Food bank time again, and our group of six Goodgymmers descended almost entirely on bikes to the warehouse on a cloudy warm evening. The somewhat diminished shelves could be a sign of this location winding down, but our team gave it a good sweep and mop with some hoovering too!
Some chat on how cleaning products work, my recent adoption approval(!) and other ideas for Goodgym tasks. Another one in the bag and a good effort before we rolled off home.

On a light and sunny April evening we were joined by an ever growing team of Goodgymmers to tackle some local litter. We were joined this week by new members Ray and Madeleine - who quickly got up to speed by collecting many ciggarettes and random plastic lumps.
Strolling through town gives great chance to get to know new members and discuss reasons for supporting Goodgym, we also got stopped for praise by passers by, which is always nice. Chat covered schools and parts of town, rare litter finds and running (I'm still going on about my Paris marathon).
We wrapped up our new route in the Abbey fields playground, where i somewhat bemoaned the lack of litter this time round, if only our town was more filthy. However, our large group would have made light work on any route, onto the foodbank next week!

Madeleine Spence earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Madeleine completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Madeleine was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.
