Quick question...who ever thought gravel or stones where a good idea for a garden? Well no matter as Goodgym Colchester's crew scurried around the lovely garden at Charles Smith House to make it beautiful...and ready for the Autumn drop!
Another warm summer evening and a sunset session as six community minded goodgymer, plus bumps, enjoyed a chat whilst we tidied.
It turns out that our Community Mission with the Anti Loo Roll Brigade is more than just a task for Em as she aims to marry pop star Lemar!
We will see!!!
Task done, we went on our way with a skip in our steps.

Ms G's garden had become very overgrown, preventing her and her partner, who are both disabled, from accessing it. With a quick strim, prune and weed she seemed very happy that she would be able to use it more!

The sun was out and although there were no weather-related rainbows, Firstsite in Colchester was full of rainbow Pride!
A massive welcome to Hazel and well done on your first GoodGym task! Hazel got stuck in with helping sell tickets at the door while Louise went to marshal and the fabulous Pride parade and then came back to scan tickets. Meanwhile Tav and I were on litter picking duty.
As usual the event was great fun with lots of food, music, performers, acceptance and love!
A great day we were proud to be part of.

The Firstsite gardens looked lush with purple verbena, a foxglove type pink flowers and grasses. Our job was to weed, litter pick and make a bit of space to plant!
Firstsite was looking good in the setting sun and tucked away next to the Minories, the garden is a welcome sight to many.
We worked hard in the bushes and enjoyed the chatter...all six of us. Or was there 8...

Tweedledum and Tweedledee Some weeds we have to battle; For Tweedledum said Tweedledee Had spoiled the courtyard gravel. Just then flew down a monstrous pigeon, As as odd as can be, Which ffrightened all the goodgym heroes so, They ran home for their tea.
Great effort again tonight so a little random rhyme to end a streak of Colchester Borough Homes tasks.
Plum Hall, John Lampon Court and Worsnop House...done!
