Wonder Women With Spades

Sheffield Report written by Annie Anthony Mays

5 Women Goodgym runners went in a group run to Lynnwood Gardens. With spades the wonder women digged dashed and cleared soil and debri along the path to make it tidy and safe. John and Liz from Sustrans really appreciated our teamwork. strength and cooperation. Worked really hard in the dark with additional lighting.

Getting the Blues

Nottingham Report written by Nottingham runner

A whole bunch of GoodGymers (including Tracy on her first task!) headed back to Sneinton to help our friend Kathryn with another big job.

This time, we sanded down some of the railings at Lees Hill Park and painted them a very bright and shiny blue.

As the paint was oil-based, we set our smallest GGers to litter picking and sweeping up all the old leaves that had gathered around, in between bursts on the playground, of course.

As always, Kathryn provided some delicious, very well-earned sweet treats and some hot drinks!

Painting Whiter shade of Pale.

Sheffield Report written by Annie Anthony Mays

8 Goodgymmers paint the interior of The Regather space upstairs. Fun, laughter and various quotes were shared amongst us all. Lots of high walls were unreachable even with ladders and chairs. I did think of climbing up to paint but too risky. So we have to leave the high unpainted walls for another day to abseil if permitted. Paint looked yellow against the cream walls but when dried it looks white. We were all curious with the various shades of White but we did it successfully. Well done team!
