Firstly, a warm welcome to Pauline who joined us for her first GoodGym session. We also welcomed Matthew to his first session, Fiona's fiance (congratulations to you both!)

Tonight was all about celebrating 100 years of our great city. Sinéad and I both wore our Portsmouth leggings. As part of our 100 litter picks in 2026, we did a speed litter pick in Victoria Park. 2 large bags filled in 25 minutes. Best finds included an octopus, barbie lip balm, a fork and a man in a bush (after a very short conversation, Val left him there).

We managed to collectively do 100 exercises in 3 minutes. This was team work at its finest, with a side order of GoodGym laughter thrown in. Not sure we'll be releasing a fitness video just yet.

Finally, on the way home we collected some words for the Portsmouth 100 found words word search. I haven't included all those here otherwise the album would be massive! But they will all get sent to Think Big Do Bigger for their collection.

The city centenary (& my birthday!) have been well and truly celebrated tonight!

We had a bit of an unusual session this week, stretching our creative muscles rather than our physical ones. I think this was very much appreciated in the sudden cold snap - great numbers tonight!

Dave and Sinéad kept to Gym in GoodGym for us, with a couple of laps of the churchyard before joining us in the community centre to get creating.

We had beautiful table pieces, wreaths, orange peel tree hangings, hand-decorated garlands and some very intricate and mathematical giant baubles. Wilson showed true determination, and with the help of Maxine and baby Margaux completed their challenge! Katie and Vicki were another dream team, producing another masterpiece.

Special thanks to Judy for her creativity, resources and epic foraging skills for providing us with such a lovely task this evening. It was truly wonderful!

Four GoodGymmers had a lovely time delivering 34 pizzas 🍕 to QA hospital on behalf of the charity Sophie’s Legacy. Thank you to nurse Grace 👩‍⚕️ for escorting us.

We missed Katie and her van 🚐 tonight! The pizzas and trolley didn’t all fit in the boot, so Jane had to hold on to some on the back seat, thanks to Lisa for the photo and run report pun! 🤣

Pizzas delivered and children and parents were very happy to receive them.

Another busy session at the foodbank. The new systems seem to be settling in and there were no dramas today!

It was a busy morning at the food bank today with less than 10 volunteers. 😱🤯

Lisa and Yvonne were the only helpers out back making up food parcels. 🥫📦 There’s a new system where customers can choose what they would like, which is supposed to avoid swaps, but doesn’t! 🙄 It takes much longer to make up orders, so still needs some work.

Pat was one of 2 helpers on the cafe 🍰 ☕after someone had a strop and went home.😾 Fiona did a great job today running the show, keeping morale up and greeting everyone on the door. 😊👏
