On a warm, sunny morning 4 Goodgym girls arrived for their marshalling duties. Alina and I were both timekeeping (in sync I may add), Beks & Emrys in their usual woods position and Susanna on scanning duties. 332 people made their way around the course including Bobby, Robert, Roisin, Katie L ( with hubby Shane carrying junior in his back carrier , WELL DONE) flying the Goodgym flag Well done all

We love a game of Bingo at GoodGym Norwich, and this evening it was a first time at another care home in Norwich. This time we locked horns with tenants at Dell Rose Court.
Elizabeth was solely focused on winning the bottle of wine! She came away with her prize of joy, but we'll never know if there was any match-fixing taking place haha.
It was a great evening, we look forward to returning in July to do some gardening with the tenants.

A chilly dry morning saw hardy runners/walker/joggers out for a 5K around the lovely Catton Park. Bobby had to sprint to his Church Street post and managed to miss place his car/house key in the long grass. Unfortunately dispute a few of us scouring the king grass for 35 minutes they weren’t found. Thank goodness a trip to his neighbours for a spare set, then back to the park he was able to make it home. I was going to log this as a Goodgym Mission but didn’t 😂 fingers crossed someone hands them into the coffee box. Robert & Alina we’re also standing in the cold, volunteering, well done everyone footnote later in the week someone playing ball with their dog found his keys.

Tonight 8 GoodGymers ran 6km to The Phoenix Centre In Norwich. Although the task leader was unable to attend at the last minute, we made the most of a sunny evening and pulled up weeds along the perimeter walls and flower beds. Shout out to Kate who joined us on her first GoodGym session. After 30 minutes we had successfully filled 3 black boxes full of weeds, without any instructions needed we completed a worthy task. Well done all! An enjoyable Bank Holiday Monday.

This evening marked the launch of GoodGym's partnership with Raleigh, so there will be lots of information and initiatives in the coming weeks to mark that.
We returned to Somerleyton Gardens this evening to continue with the community garden project that we've been highly involved in.
A big welcome to Emma, who was doing her first GoodGym good deed!
Also, a huge well done to Woody for completing the London Marathon the day before!
As you can see from the photos, there were lots of tasks that needed doing (and were completed).
We were generously supplied with refreshments from one of the local residents to keep the energy levels up.
I modeled one of the too of the range Raleigh bikes, as you can see in the first photo.

Arriving at the park this morning, it was a little cool but by 9am it was glorious weather, perfect for a run/walk/jog 5K. Alina was timekeeper, Beks & Emrys were in their normal woods marshal point and I was giving out finish tokens. I love that job, you get to congratulate everyone finishing. Today the First Timer briefing was given by Josh, one of a core young people doing their D.O.E awards, today he was completing his Bronze Award. Well done young man
