Jonathan, Woody and me had a great time in Mr M's garden. It was so satisfying to chop down huge brambles and lots of bindweed.
We all got away with just a few scratches from the brambles, although Woody scared us at one point by saying there was blood on his rake! Luckily we realised it was most likely a squashed blackberry; Jonathan couldn't resist trying them - they were delicious, apparently!
We made huge progress. It was almost impossible for three of us to stand outside Mr M's back door when we arrived, but now you can really see the space available in the garden. Our target was to get to the shed by the time we had to leave, but we far surpassed that!
We would love to go back to help Mr M again. He was very grateful to us and is hoping he will be able to get out to his garden soon.

Being able to access his garden will help boost his emotional wellbeing. Mr M always felt better in himself when he could get outside into his garden.

It all went a bit wrong this morning. My plan was to run to Mrs C after dropping off a parcel at my local shop but they were full so I had to run with a parcel in my hands, looking for another place to drop off.
When I did drop it off, I was so worried about being late to Mrs C that I was thinking about that rather than the route I was running, and I ended up running along the wrong side of the river, which meant I was actually running in the wrong direction for about 5 minutes to correct myself. Then, I had to run up Grapes Hill... And anyone from GoodGym Norwich knows how bad that is!
Luckily, I still got to Mrs C on time and I collected her rubbish for her and popped it in the dustbin. While it seems like such a small task, this really helped Mrs C as she didn't have to worry about going outside herself and didn't have rubbish in the way in her home.
I'm super grateful to Mrs C, as without her I probably wouldn't have gone for a run, or at least would have cut it short when I realised I couldn't drop off my parcel. This is what GoodGym is all about!
A photograph of a rubbish bag didn't seem that fun, so I took a photo of the bandstand in Chapelfield Gardens on my walk home :)

Great to read how a mission turned into a really good run as well! Lovely stuff!

Ms C will not have the rubbish in her kitchen for over a week and she will not fall by trying to complete the task herself.
