Tonight 6 GoodGymer's ran, walked or cycled to Greenfields Community Centre, home of Baby Bank Norfolk.
Our task was to help tidy up the outdoor perimeter that had become overgrown with thorny weeds. We have attended similar tasks at this venue over the years, and tonight was another success!
In just over an hour we had cleared the entire area, by chopping it down and bagging up the green waste, ready to be collected for recycling.
Shout out Jen who attend her first task! Despite the prickly thorns it was a satisfying task.
Thanks to Sarah for the pun, name checking our very own Rose!

Tonight 8 GoodGymer's ran 4km to Edmund Bacon Court.
The local residents had been donated a number of herbs including Lavender, Rosemary and other plants, Azalea, Hydrangeas, Geraniums and Salvias.
So we began our first task, weeding the borders and collecting any unwanted bulbs to be dried out. Then came the digging, checking the holes were the correct depth and pouring in water before bedding in the new plants.
The residents were delighted with our efforts and even supplied tea & biscuits!
We look forward to seeing this grow when return later in the year.

Ms J had asked for help to get her garden cleared of weeds so she could get out in the sunshine and use her table and chairs.
Some of the weeds had got to 5ft high and it was lovely to clear them so she had a nice view out of her window. I even found some flowers peaking beneath the grass including bluebells and some calendula under her silver birch tree. She really appreciated the help in being able to make the most of her garden again

A huge impact on her mental health as she wants to get a table and chairs out there to sit and enjoy the summer.

On a sunny Saturday morning 8 Goodgymers helped the Friends of James Stuart Garden to prepare to welcome new visitors as the greenspace opens its doors as part of Norwich Community Garden Festival. We cleared some weeds to make space for some new planting and removed some brambles that were starting to creep in. We were also treated to a cuppa and a biscuit after our digging efforts.
