Three of us headed to Welling Library tonight despite the very changeable weather conditions.
A big welcome to Nayomi on her first GoodGym task - great to have you with us!
Our periodic visits to the Library help keep the grounds neat and tidy, and it was definitely time for some TLC!
We got stuck in to litter picking and weeding - with thistles and nettles in abundance!
With lots of laughter and chatting the time absolutely flew by and the sun actually came out for our photo!
Nice work team, and thank you for helping make the area look better.
Next week is our monthly visit to Holy Trinity Lamorbey School where we'll be turning pallets into bug hotels ๐๐ชฒ! We'd love to see you there.

After Susan staying in bed longer this morning and a call from Sarah we eventually all got together at the Welling Library for a good tidy up session.
It had been tipping down with rain but miraculously stopped once we got stuck into weeding, litter picking and sweeping the area to make it look respectable again.
It didn't take long to get the outside looking smart but a lot of rubbish was collected including lots of items on the bingo card! We all felt satisfied at our achievement!
Well done everyone who attended! It just shows how great you are!
Of course our reward was waiting for us in Devi's Corner with the obligatory coffees, hot chocolates and chat. A great way to spend a Sunday morning.

As the advertised task was cancelled late in the day we relocated to the Welling Library ๐.
It was a good job we did as it was totally overgrown again!
We all set to work with our secateurs and brooms ๐งน. As you can see from the before and after pics we made it look perfect, ready for the public to enjoy in the morning.
We couldn't resist going for a drink and a snack after for Sarah's birthday ๐ at Devis Corner โ๏ธ๐บ.

Words curtesy of Rod Stewart! What a lovely evening it was for tidying the Welling Library . I couldn't believe how much the weeds had grown including nettles! Simon had a great implement to remove them from the side of the building and we soon had it looking brilliant! We were sailing! After a last photo with the piled up sacks we made for home! Until next time.

We all met up outside the Welling Library ready to tackle the persistent weeds ๐ฑ sprouting alongside the building. Some of us run/walked, others came straight from work.
We set to work straight away and soon got the area looking spick and span. There were some lovely forget-me -nots growing along with some small yellow flowers ๐ผ There is always a bonus when doing these tasks. You just have to look out for them. Joining forces with the WWF.

We made quite a difference to the grounds at Welling Library today.
'Make mine a vodka and Coke.' With nearly fifty empty glass bottles there had clearly been a drinking party at some point! They all went into the recycling bin โป๏ธ.
Then we tackled the weeds and brambles, not easy in the frozen ground ๐ฑ .
Luckily we were working around the sunny sides of the building and all our activity kept us warm despite the minus temperatures in the shade ๐ก.
A little over an hour - and nine bin bags-ful later - we headed to a nearby cafรฉ for hot drinks and more chatting. The hot chocolate was a well-earned winner!
Elsewhere, GoodGym tourism saw Ashton's litterpicking, and Peter's volunteering at junior parkrun take us to 25 good deeds this month. This means we've already reached our target for the January Challenge ๐ฅ!
That's amazing, and great work Team GG Bexley! Can we make it to 50 by the end of the month do you think?
