Paving the way

Sunday 12th March 2023

Written by Steven Hitcham

We last visited Norwich Farmshare back in 2017, before they relocated to Whitlingham, so it was great to visit them again.

They have such a large area of produce growing.

Our task for the morning was to lay some Mulch on a long vegetable patch, which was followed by laying down Wood Chippings either side as paths to access the vegetable patch.

A thoroughly enjoyable morning was had.

It's all about the press, about the press no trouble

Monday 3rd September 2018

The EDP Newspaper were meeting us at the task tonight to cover a story on GoodGym.

Although its the last week of the summer holidays we still had a fantastic turnout of 31 runners.

Sophie was joining us for her 1st GoodGym experience so a big welcome!

Tonight's task was to visit Norwich Farmshare to help them before they move location, it was a nice 3.25km each way trip via Marriotts Way.

Bill was devoted back runner this week.

On arrival there was no photographer there #panic but no fear as I had a load of missed calls and the poor girl had got lost.

As I went to find her the group got stuck in with the task, which consisted of lifting up some big plant sheets and a bit of digging.

Bill and Mish had their moment of fame as they did an interview in front of the cameras.

It was then time for a little fitness session consisting of squats, 1-leg squats and push-ups before Calum led the group for a running session around Sloughbottom Park while I did my bit for the camera... although rumour (and photo evidence) has it a trip to the play area took place instead of running!

Calum then led the group back to The Forum so I could chat to a few runners on the way back and everyone got a high 5 (from Calum) and a fist pump (from me) at the finish.

A few of us went to the pub for some chill time ahead of Darren's birthday later in the week.

Good luck to Brad with the Great North Run on Sunday! He smashed out 100 miles in August so will be fine :-)

Next Monday is a nice short run as we visit The Hamlet Charity Children's Centre.

Keep an eye out for the video from The EDP in the coming days.
