This morning the sun did eventually shine on as we set about our tasks. A litter pick was done and weeds and roots were dug up around the seating area that had grown through the wood chip, once completed we racked this all to prevent any holes being left. The 4 of us managed to clear a large area but more to do next time and no doubt then more wood chip will need to be placed.

The New Malden Town Centre Partnership (NMTCP) hosted a special evening to thank all their volunteers and supporters. GoodGym got a mention with a special thanks to Emily for her tireless support. Dani got all emotional when she presented Emily with a basket of treats - and so did we! Well done, Emily, for your effort and support for Jubilee Square.

This morning with sadness the Christmas tree on the square had to be dethroned of its decorations ready for the council to get rid of the tree. Also Health and Safety come into play, with the weather we are having, sand was placed down on all the black ice bits to make sure no accidents occur with all the people using this space as a cut through. All whilist catching up after the festive season. We will be back!

Today the task was to clear the wood chip etc around the raised beds, so Danni, myself, some girls doing their Duke of Edingburgh Award and a couple of other members of the community worked together to acheive this. The extra was then spread around the beds.
