All the colours of the rainbow! 🎶

Sat 25 Jun
Report written by Connor Donohoe

Today the team undertook the task of attending the 300th Luton Wardown Park Parkrun.

The theme for Parkrun was rainbows to celebrate Luton’s first ever pride event!

Each GoodGym member was assigned a colour to match the colours of the rainbow and they did a great job.

A generous GoodGym member was lovely enough to supply the team with pride flags to further brighten up the run and to celebrate pride.

Some of the team ran and others volunteered contributing to the great atmosphere throughout. Plus there were pride cookies, cakes and fudge to be enjoyed once runners hit the finish line.

It was a successful day and turnout to celebrate both the 300th Parkrun and the first Luton pride - definitely a day to remember! Happy pride month to all :)

P.S we successfully took a group photo of us in rainbow order.

Why not head down to St Georges Square for the Group Run afterwards? Tick off two good deeds in one evening! ✅

Help this therapeutic garden thrive

This week we're back at the Roots to Recovery garden where the plots we've been looking after are now growing vegetables!

We'll be tackling some jobs around the allotment to make sure the crop is a bumper one this year!

A nice short run from town should leave us some time for a fitness session on the way back!

Roger that. Over.

Sun 19 Jun
Report written by Martin R

4 Luton Goodgymers supported Race for Life Luton, cheering and encouraging runners as part of our marshalling duties and helping to pack away the race equipment. All rather excited that we were given walkie talkies. Awesome that we also got to cheer on 2 of our own who both completed the 10k race. The event raised £40000 for cancer research uk and a good time was had by all. Over and out.
