Mr & Mrs C have a tiny courtyard garden packed out with plants in pots, surrounded by tall shrubs. They needed help cutting down the top branches and neatening the overhang outside the garden wall.

Despite long-handled loppers and the loan of a neighbour's step ladder, I was just too short to make a neat job of it.

It may need to be a repeat visit by a taller GoodGymer!

4 Goodgymers worked with the little squirrels and Beavers from the 48th Scouts to take part in the Great British Beach Clean. Hats, Table legs and lot of tint plastic was saved from the seas! well done all!

4 GoodGymers & apprentice Betsy strode around the streets of Copnor to deliver leaflets advertising The Shining Stars events.

We managed to avoid the barking dogs and the snapping letterboxes.

And we found the home growing the most interesting front-garden vegetables.

I had a lovely morning in the September sunshine tidying Mrs S's garden.

It was a pleasant task to pull up the weeds, dig over the beds and dead-head the dahlias.

Mr & Mrs S were very grateful for the help.
