... OK, "Global Group Run" was a bit of a stretch, but with 300 miles between our farthest-flung litter picks, it feels pretty massive!
Our northern-most pick was in the Lake District with Sarah and Wilson. It looked like a very scenic walk, apart from the fake toenail, smelly sock and pair of underpants they found!
Down in Sherwood Forest, Dave started his day with a run and a litter pick, whilst Jen's was more gentle, with a post-dinner stroll.
Katie L misled a beach full of children whilst photographing litter in a rock pool down in Devon.
Hannah smashed out two litter picks in Southampton, whilst our remaining GoodGymers kept the streets of Portsmouth, Southsea and Emsworth clean.
Fantastic job everyone, great work keeping the spirit of GoodGym alive whilst I'm on holiday!

Vicki and I tidied the garden for Mr & Mrs J and it brought a relief for Mrs J - it means there is one thing less for her to worry about. She was so grateful that we gave our time to help her out - we realised that the benefits of our good deed were more than just the practical task itself.
(We forgot to take a photo, so here's a pic of some pretty flowers instead!)

Katie and I found lots of pieces of insulating foam washed up on Tipner beach. We collected it all, along with lots of plastic and rope.
Less than an hour, and we left the beach much cleaner than we'd found it.
Paul filled a bag up from the cycle lane that runs from the Mountbatten Centre to Target Rd so all of Tipner got a spruce up this morning.

Due to some serious over optimism on timings (and a long queue for coffee) we did a shorter walk to the 2 lions and will have to do the one at Casemates another time.
See all the lions around Portsmouth before they head off on 13th September. Check out https://prideofportsmouth.co.uk/

Well done to Nia on her first visit to Run Walk Local to experience the friendly Sunday morning vibe.
Katie & Nia took the 5K run option, whereas I 'jeffed' along at the back of the 5K participants. But it all counts as good exercise in a picturesque setting.

A successful morning at the North End street cutting back a lot of the growth and picking up lots of litter. Highlight of the litter was a Billy Joel cassette!!
The local garden users were already there, encouraging us in our work and asking if we could help with giving them a haircut. One helped carry the bags of garden waste to Judy's car at the end.

Pompey bushes got a cushty tidy today.
Two overgrown shrubs clipped to a sort-of uniform shape.
Job done.
