Tonight’s task was a visit to Full Cycle to help out the Gary and the team with clearing a few jobs from their to do list.

Emma and Luke teamed up using the air compressor to pump up a pile of inner tubes to test them for leaks. Maliyana and Marcos got the old inner tubes rolled up and ready for recycling (with a quick break for recycling bag related photo opportunities!) The rest of the team were busy cleaning up the dirt and cobwebs from the donated bikes, ready for them to be fixed up and sent to their new homes.

We had a wheelie good time but after an hour we were tyred out. We said goodbye to Gary and set off for our run back to the Quaker Centre, exploring a brand new route back.

There’s always so many odd jobs to do here, looking forward to our next visit.

Welcome Maliyana! Great work on your first task with us.

Full Cycle Community Bike Project
Help wash donated bikes to be given to local charities

Full Cycle's friendly team believe in the brilliance of the bicycle, and are as passionate about recycling as cycling. Our mission is to refurbish and rehome unwanted bikes, minimising waste, promoting active travel and giving people from all backgrounds access to affordable cycling. To achieve this, we work with local grassroots causes to inspire and support more people into cycling, with a big focus on helping old bikes find new homes with local residents most in need.
