The Liverpool Half Marathon is a regular event in the calender and is a massive logistical challenge requiring many volunteers to make it happen, so it was wonderful for Good Gymers to be able to help out and man the last water station at the twelve mile mark. To say that we went beyond the call of duty is an understatement. It rained, it was freezing, the wind howled and was had some hail thrown in for good measure and a bit of sun as well, which gave some blessed relief from the cold. It was frenetic but everyone chipped in and supported the epic runners on such a hostile day and gave them some welcome water near to the end of the course. A big should out to all who attended but especially those who came up from Lambeth to take part. We even managed to clear up all the bottles and caps at the end. Good job Good Gymers.

Despite the freezing cold, rain and howling winds it was great to be a part of this and share the goodgym love with you all!

Thanks for giving up your time and putting your bodies in utter horrendous conditions for us running the event, as god knows it was cold enough running it never mind trying to stay warm. So much appreciated
