Share the love

This week our pals down at Gunnersbury parkrun organised a food collection for Ealing Foodbank so we knew we had to get involved!

The local food banks are in short supply and need their stocks boosting for this winter. Tom Kerry, Ealing’s running mayor, very kindly offered to organise this and collected up all the food items from parkrun and delivered them directly to Ealing Foodbank in Hanwell.

Lots of us then stayed on to take part in parkrun either by running, walking or volunteering so we got in good deeds and moving our bodies all before 10am!

Helping local people in crisis

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
