Our First Portsmouth Mission

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Portsmouth.

We arrived at Mrs D's to a mountain of boxes, furniture and other items in the garage. Clearing some space, we started to re-stack, making sure the mountain didn't topple, so that Mrs D could start sorting through. There were many cries of delight as she found some small treasures she'd thought lost for ever. We even found a huge 'Aslan' like stuffed lion buried under some bin bags which Mrs D was very pleased to see - alongside a mummified rat which we were quick to bin before she saw it! We got through about a third of the items in the garage, and after a sweep and tidy, the re-cycling bin was filled up and left for the next pick-up. There will need to be another mission to complete the task, but on leaving, we left a very happy Mrs D sorting through the rest of the boxes, also pleased to hear that GoodGym would be back in the future to unearth some more delights for her and clear some more space.
