Just a couple of Deadheads

Early Saturday morning, Mikey and Aimee were up and ready to run to Mrs E and help tidy up her garden. The weather had other ideas: torrential rain, wind, hail, and thunder storms. However, the weather wasn't going to stop our GoodGymmers from their mission. The skies cleared as they arrived at Mrs. E's and they spent 2 hours weeding, clearing, and deadheading her beautiful roses. Mrs E shared that she used to have many more rose bushes, and she wanted to be able to sit and enjoy her garden again. No sooner had they finished their task when the skies turned grey and they felt drops of rain. They said their goodbyes to Mrs E, her son, and each other and ran home.
