On a sunny Sunday morning 5 goodgymers met at the Cardiff Bay barrage to being their litter pick through Penarth.

Fun Fact - Penarth actually means 'Head of the Bear' or 'Bear's Head'

With our litter grabbers ready we made a move, heading up the hill we began our mission to clean up the streets. It was a great day to catch up with friends and do some good even with hills everywhere around us, we were soon up to half a bag full when Fiona found something fishy.....

How Penarth is this? A bottle full of mussels.

Little did we know the odour that was going to creep out of the bag and attack our sense of smell, no bag could contain it so we had no choice but to find a bin to rid ourselves of the foul stench. We started on a new bag and continued our cleaning mission, before we knew it we were talking a stroll down the sea front with beautiful views. But this meant one thing, to get back to our start point we had to take on more hill.

After an hour and a half and a couple of bags of rubbish it was time for a photo before heading on our ways.
