Easy Like Sunday Morning - Session #5

Our city's green spaces are made for connecting and sharing. And this lovely group of people did exactly that this morning.

Jatin, Jenny, Jo, Kate (welcome to GoodGym, Kate!) Laura, Linda, Sarah, and I met at Green Park at 11.00. Which seems to be caffeine temptation hour. Passersby strolled past with enticingly smelling coffees and teas, but we weren't deterred. Well maybe I was, but everyone else showed the steeliest of steely determination.

Following a swift slot of limbering up, we started our chatter-filled jaunt around St James's Park, before stopping back in Green Park for a few quick squats, lunges, and sprints. We even pumped up the volume on the boombox to blast out the wonderfully funkadelic delight, Funkytown, by Lipps Inc whilst we got our bodies working and moving. If only we'd all remembered our luminous headbands and sweatbands.

We finished with a steady loop around Hyde Park, dodging monsoon-esque rain showers, before stopping for a well-earned slice of caffeine temptation ourselves.

Our next run will be on the 25th and we'll be switching to doing some interesting off-piste loops of Hyde Park. Can't wait.
