A bunch of Yorkie Goodgymers gathered together at Poppleton Beer festival to sample some of the fine ales on offer. First challenge was to try to get the bartenders to be over generous and see how far over the half pint line they would go. I think Leanne won this one! Lots of interesting flavours - creme brûlée and whiskey are two that I can remember!

The evening passed quickly with lots of friendly chit chat whilst all being wrapped up in winter togs (in mid June???). Towards the end we moved to the music tent and some participated in a bit of spontaneous dancing to the fab little folk band. We then used up all remaining tokens and did a spot of balancing glasses on heads, whilst trying to think of a pun and complain why Mitch hadn’t come (apparently he has other friends!!). Poppleton Smoppleton was the best we could come up with!

Lovely evening had by all and luckily our two non drinkers had enough space in their cars to transport everyone back to York, thank you! See you next year!
